Avast ye matey, here is some news that will have skippers, scallywags, and salty dogs dropping their anchors aboard the Atlantic City shores, Good Time Tricycle and the city of Atlantic City have announced the return of the Atlantic City Seafood Festival - Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th. Though it might seem like an Astonishing Tale from the Sea the second year festival is now free-of-charge and open-to-all-who-wish-to-attend, thanks to a grant from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). The Atlantic City Seafood Festival has evolved into the proverbial Moby Dick, as far as Jersey Shore culinary events go, featuring over 120 vendors and 50 participating restaurants guaranteed to please all palates.

The Atlantic City Seafood Festival is a two day extravaganza of fun, food, and entertainment celebrating the treasures of the Atlantic Ocean while highlighting the East Coasts favorite sea side city. The festival will offer event goers the opportunity to treat their taste buds to a large variety of dishes prepared by area restaurants and culinary personalities. Attendees are encouraged to arrive hungry!

The Festival returns rain or shine on September 14th and 15th on the peninsula of Bader Field with the Atlantic City skyline as its back drop. The Bader Field location provides an ample footprint for the variety of multicultural restaurants, fisherman, crafters, as well other interactive activities/displays and convenient onsite parking.

The 2014 event is constructed to be the ultimate family weekend at the Jersey Shore. The wide variety of programming including: local restaurants and culinary personalities, The Great Brews of the Garden State, cooking demonstrations, Ed Hitzels chowder cook off, interactive mixology seminars and wine pairings, a kids park and other activities, and live performances from local and regional entertainment.

On top of all the fantastic Festival programming, Triathletes will prepare to "Tri their Luck" at the 4nd Annual Atlantic City International Triathlon on September 14th, 2014. The Atlantic City Triathlon has quickly become one of the most anticipated races of its type in the country. The featured international-distance event includes a 1 mile swim, a 20- mile bike and a 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) run, while the 'sprint' race consists of a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 5k run (3.1 miles). The triathlon is one again working in conjunction with the Atlantic City Seafood Festival.
